Proud to be a part of the SA Olympic Team
I am really happy to share the news with all of you that I have made the Olympic Team for this years London Olympics. This is a dream come true and its great feeling after so many years of sacrifice. I have always wanted to be an Olympian and this year I will get my chance to be a part of it.
The race suits me as a rider and although I am going to be alone in the race as we only qualified one spot I definitely feel that if I don't make any mistakes during the race that I can be a factor in the end. I am hoping to try get to the line with a smaller bunch (hopefully minus some sprinters). Now its time for the hard work to begin and I am sure I will get given a great race programme leading up to the Games, I will start of with Tour of Slovenia this Wednesday.
I am thrilled and proud to be a part of the SA team and like forward to representing my country with pride. I hope to make everyone proud back home.
